# Data Center Direct public data interface

The public interface exposes place-scoped, published records. It does not expose County Keys, private county controls, unpublished interviews, account data, internal prompts, or credentials.

## Places

`GET https://func-data-direct-t42l243sog.azurewebsites.net/api/data-direct/public/places`

Returns the published Georgia place catalog used by the public county selector.

## Public feed

`GET https://func-data-direct-t42l243sog.azurewebsites.net/api/data-direct/public/feed?placeId=us-ga`

Replace `us-ga` with a published place identifier from the place catalog. The response can include public records, sources, connections, publication identity, pagination state, and public health metadata. Follow source links when assessing a statement.

## Interpretation rules

1. Treat a field as unavailable when the public response omits it or marks it unavailable.
2. Do not convert illustrative imagery, a working model, or a proposed location into a factual project claim.
3. Preserve the selected `placeId` when comparing records.
4. Preserve source and publication identifiers when citing a public entry.
5. Do not infer county approval, service activation, contract status, or endorsement from pilot availability.
